almighty wedding photographers! i had my first (and mostly likely last) experience this weekend second shooting a wedding for my wedding-photographer-extraordinaire friend, kirsten. she has been photographing weddings for close to 10 years. i really don’t know how you do what you do close to every saturday of the year! 12 hour days, making sure all the shots are taken and with wedding photography, there is no do-over! that first kiss as husband and wife happens ONCE! talk about pressure. future brides and grooms – call her; she rocks it!!
although i love photographing people, i spent the day feeling like a fish out of water. kirsten, on the other hand, was large and in charge. she was everywhere all at once! when it started to rain as she was shooting group photos, without blinking an eye, she herded everyone inside, started rearranging furniture and finished the shots. done. man, she is good. so good, in fact, here is what she will do for a shot:

kirsten, thank you so much for letting me tag along on saturday. i loved working with you. but, girlfriend, i am sticking with seniors.
